Jesus said, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” Mark 16:15 Antioch Christian Church understands the Great Commission, but it is also a church that is committed to REACHING the nations with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Salvation was purchased at too high of a price to be taken lightly; therefore, we are committed to spreading the Gospel far and wide, even to the remotest parts of the earth.
Antioch is involved in stateside missions in many areas including ministering to the homeless and those less fortunate. After hurricane Katrina ravaged along the Southern U.S. coast, we joined with other area churches to help the clean-up efforts. We sent a team which had the opportunity to help multiple families out with their homes and community.
On a weekly basis, anyone attending our worship services has an opportunity to place a financial contribution in our missions box which helps to support missionaries overseas. We are currently supporting seven missionaries in the countries of Haiti, Jamaica, Asia, South America, Mexico, and many other areas of the world. In the summer of 2007, we spent time in Jamaica with Pastor Kermit Jones and Gloria helping build a church he pastors. There was a local school just above the church where we able to minister the gospel to children, teenagers, and adult women through a Back Yard Bible Club. Your financial commitments through this mission’s box and through tithes and offerings have reached lives for Jesus Christ around the world. Please check out our calendar page for the next available trip.
