The ministry of music enhances and supports the worship and other ministries at Antioch Christian Church. Our purpose is, through music, to glorify God, to edify the body of Christ, and to draw all people unto Christ, our Lord and Savior. We encourage all people to be a part of the music ministry through corporate and private worship music (ranging from traditional to gospel to contemporary Christian styles), the choir programs, and children and youth music ministries.

We teach not just the artistry of Christian music, but how Christ is revealed in the music, how the composers’ testimonies are shown through the songs, and how the community of faith can be bound together through music.

We provide opportunities for vocal and instrumental solos and groups of all ages and in other church programs. At Christmas, Easter, and occasional other events, there are special worship experiences that are mainly musical. The primary focus of the adult choir is to be a worship-leading choir, to maintain focus on God not just on musical presentation, and to prepare people to hear the Word of God.

We occasionally have special guests come to lead worship through music, especially at our annual revival. However, we are truly blessed with a wide variety of gifted musicians here at Antioch ----- not only vocalists, but guitarists, keyboard artists, and string and wind instrumentalists. We encourage anyone interested in playing or singing to contact us.

In God’s Word, Colossians 3:16 states, “Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.” And Psalm 100 begins with, “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord all ye lands.” What better way to praise Him than to make melody in your heart?
